We’re hosting an E-Waste Drive next week! Do you have old electronics sitting around and collecting dust? If yes, please drop by!

📍 Mahone Bay Centre, 45 School Street, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia

⏰ 12 pm ➡ 6 pm

October 14th is National E-Waste Day, which is a day to raise awareness about electronic waste and encourage proper recycling of unwanted technology. Do you have an old, broken, or unwanted desktop, tablet, printer, keyboard, cellphone, or other electronic sitting around? If you drop them off with us, you’ll be giving them a second life 💻📱

What happens to your e-waste once dropped off? ERA Canada refurbishes eligible devices and gives them a second life by donating them to charities, schools, and community organizations in need. In addition, they provide secure data handling to help protect your information!

Arts Health Antigonish is offering another month of free online Art Larks! workshops for older adults throughout Nova Scotia. 🎨 💜

No previous artistic experience is required, and participants can join from home using Google Meet. New participants only need to register once for the Art Larks! program. After registering, they may attend any workshop without signing up for each class separately:

Calling all volunteers across Lunenburg and Queens Counties!

Join us Saturday, November 7th at NSCC Bridgewater for a day of fresh ideas, practical tools, new connections and inspiration.

Local Hands. Lasting Impact.

Expect interactive workshops, panel discussions, networking, lunch, door prizes and at least two chances to win $500 for your organization!

$15 per person, including lunch. Space is limited to 100 participants.

How can we help rural halls and gathering places thrive—without adding more to already-busy volunteers’ plates?

Our conversations are connecting practical ideas for local food, energy upgrades, community programming, emergency resilience, and sustainable revenue. Last time, we explored funding navigation, grant-writing support, and the potential for hall kitchens to support school meals.
