When was the last time you truly unplugged? 🔌

Many of us use technology throughout the day for work, connection, learning, and relaxation. But when our brains are constantly switching between screens, notifications, and information, it can become harder to feel fully rested.

Intentional digital breaks, even brief ones, can help create space for movement, creativity, relationships, and recovery.

A digital reset doesn’t have to mean turning everything off. It might mean putting your phone away during a conversation, stepping outside without your device, or creating a screen-free routine before bed.

💡Call to Action: What is one small way you could give your attention a chance to recharge this week? (Feel free to share your ideas in comments below).

If you're able to join today - DO IT! Incredible conversations with incredible people. Thanks so hosting, Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia.

What could rural community halls become when we start seeing them as more than buildings?

Over the past few weeks, people from across Nova Scotia have been sharing ideas about halls and gathering places as hubs for food, energy, water resilience, local learning, emergency response, and community connection.

This week, we’ll continue the conversation—sharing practical examples, resources, and ideas for helping these essential places thrive.

🗓 Wednesday, August 26
⏰ 12:00 pm Atlantic

Whether you manage a hall, volunteer in your community, work with a municipality, or simply care about the future of rural places, you are welcome. Please share with someone who should be part of the conversation.

Just a friendly Monday reminder after all that laundry over the weekend.

Lint builds up faster than you think—and it's highly flammable. 🔥

Before or after every load, clean the lint filter to improve airflow, help your dryer work efficiently, and reduce the risk of fire.

It's a simple habit that can make a big difference.
