The qathet Regional District’s Planning Committee will be receiving the new nonregulatory, aspirational Savary Island Official Community Plan tomorrow on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 4pm for first reading. If you would like to attend this meeting virtually or in-person, please contact the Administration department via email [email protected] or call 604-485-2260. Meetings are open to the public to attend as observers, with a question period in the later stages of the meeting, before adjournment.
Staff’s resolution is as follows:
THAT the Committee recommends to the Board that the Board endorse “Savary Island Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 607, 2026” as presented; and
THAT the bylaw be forwarded to the June 9, 2026 Board meeting for first reading.
THAT the Committee recommends to the Board that the Board direct staff to proceed with Phase 5 - Approval Process public engagement.
