It’s been far too long since we’ve had kittens available for adoption, and we’re excited to introduce our first litter of the spring! 🐾

Meet Rosie, Rocket, Rudy, and River! These four adorable kittens were born to a feral mom but have been lovingly raised alongside her in foster care since they were just two weeks old. As a result, they’ve grown into a playful, curious, and friendly little crew.

The kittens are currently 6 weeks old and will be ready for their forever homes after their 8-week veterinary exam in mid-June.

If you’re interested in welcoming one (or even better, two!) of these sweet babies into your family, please send us a message to request an adoption application. ❤️

🐾 Carrier Check + Donation Request 🐾

We are currently trying to track down some missing cat carriers that may have been lent out to previous fosters or adopters. If you happen to have one belonging to the rescue tucked away at home, we’d really appreciate having it returned! ❤️

We are also always in need of carrier and wire kennel donations. Gently used carriers and large wire kennels for cat transport and housing.

If you have a carrier to return or donate, please send us a message. Thank you for continuing to support the rescue and the cats in our care! 🐱

Does anyone recognize this handsome dude???
He has been visiting a feeding station near the elementary school in Lumsden. We would like to determine if he is a stray cat or a pet cat.

Henrington is officially living his BEST life 😻💙

This sweet boy recently celebrated his 2-year “Gotcha Day” with his incredible family, and they went ALL OUT! A fish-shaped cake made from his favourite wet food, a birthday hat, presents, and over 30 photos of him covering their walls.

Spoiled? Maybe a little… 😏💕
Loved? Absolutely 💯

It’s hard to believe this is the same kitty who was once abandoned just outside of Lumsden. A kind family did what they could to care for him, but couldn’t bring him inside. With coyotes nearby and Henrington not used to the outdoors, we knew he didn’t have much time.

Now look at him — safe, celebrated, and so deeply loved. Happy Gotcha Day, Henrington! You hit the jackpot 💫

Did you know it’s almost kitten season? 🐾

As the days get longer, unspayed cats start having more litters, and many kittens are born outside to stray and feral moms, landing on the doorstep of small rescues like Lumsden Valley Cats.

You can help by spaying/neutering your pets, keeping owned cats safely indoors or supervised, and supporting local rescues with fostering, donations, or even just sharing posts to spread the word.

Kitten season sounds cute, but it’s one of the toughest times of year for rescues—thank you for having our backs. 💛🐱

Feline lucky? 🐾

Our Lumsden Valley Cats “Feline Lucky” 50/50 raffle is in the home stretch, but ticket sales have been slower than hoped these first couple of weeks. That means your odds are extra good right now—but we really need a last-minute push to make this fundraiser count for the cats.

Ticket sales close March 16, with the winner drawn and announced on March 17. Every ticket helps our small, volunteer-run rescue trap, vet, and care for stray and feral cats in the Lumsden Valley.

If you’ve been meaning to buy, this is your sign: please grab your tickets today, and share this with a friend or two so we can turn these low early sales into big impact for the cats who need us most. 🐈💚
