Our first CFN Monthly Market at Wellington Fletcher’s Lake Station House was a huge success and we couldn’t be happier to have started this new chapter surrounded by such a wonderful community!

From our very first shoppers through the doors to the incredible volunteers who kept everything running, it was a reminder of what makes our markets so special:
people coming together to make good food more accessible to everyone.

A huge shoutout to our top-notch volunteers; your energy, care, and willingness to lend a hand are what make these markets possible.
We’re so grateful for every one of you!

And of course, a warm welcome to everyone who came out to shop, say hello, and support the market at its new home.
We hope you found plenty of fresh, affordable groceries and produce to bring home.

We’re so excited for everything ahead at the Station House! 🤎

🌿 Fresh herbs, community-grown! 🌿

A lovely community friend grew these fresh herbs especially for the Network, and now they’re heading in for a little suntan ☀️ to get nice and dry and ready for storage!

We’re happy to share the goodness with our community. 💚

If you’d like some once they’re finished drying, just let us know and we can arrange a time to meet up and get some your way!

Community grown. Community shared. 🌱💚

There’s something special about bringing a team together around a shared purpose. 🥣🤎

We were happy to welcome the NSECDIS team into our kitchen for a hands-on Soup Social!
Nova Scotia Early Childhood Development Intervention

From chopping and stirring to laughing and connecting, their team turned a day of team-building into an opportunity to give back to our community.

And the best part? The 350 bowls of soup they made will help nourish our community through our community freezers.🥕✨

One team. One kitchen. A whole lot of impact.
Because when we cook together, we can help make sure good food reaches more people. 🫶

Thank you, NSECDIS, for rolling up your sleeves and being part of the work!

❤️ Making joy while making soup! 🥣

We’re so excited to share this wonderful story from The Laker News, written by Rev. Michael Tutton of St. Thomas Anglican Church in Fall River.

It captures so much of what community is all about — good food, good people, lots of laughter, and the joy that comes from doing something together that makes a difference. 🥰

A huge thank-you to everyone who continues to chop, stir, scoop, package, deliver, volunteer and, most importantly, make joy with us. 💚

So, who is CFN? 🤎

We’re Community.
We’re Connection.
We’re Nourishment, Care, Belonging, and so much more.

We’re neighbours coming together, sharing food and skills, creating welcoming spaces, and working toward a community where everyone has access to good food with dignity.

At the heart of it all, we’re people, supporting people. 🫶

This is CFN. This is what we’re about.

Come stir up something meaningful with us 🍲

Soup Socials are more than just cooking, they're about bringing people together, building connections, and creating nourishing meals for our community🤎

Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn new kitchen skills, volunteer your time, or plan a team-building activity with your workplace, friends, or community group, there's a place for you around our table.

Every Thursday, volunteers gather to chop, stir, laugh, and prepare homemade soup that stocks our community freezers, helping ensure neighbours across Cobequid have access to a warm, nourishing meal.

🌟No experience needed, just a willingness to lend a hand🌟

📍 Soup Socials, at Knox United Church
🗓️ Every Thursday
👥 Individuals and groups are welcome!
