Adult Day Program staff across the province have been working to bring more music to our Adult Day Programs. They have been taking virtual ukulele lessons for months. Friday, they were able to get together in person for the first time. It was a powerful expression of what a group of people can do when they put their minds to it. MUSIC MAKES MEMORIES! 💙

We would like to send a BIG shout out for Brooklyn at Deliv’Ari Catering in Port Hawkesbury! We were thrilled to have her cater our Team Meeting during this special VON Week with two beautiful lasagna (even accommodated gluten free). All staff said it was “delicious”. We see a possible partnership in the future and definitely recommend to all! Thanks again, Brooklyn. 💙

Approximately 40 Employees (from both Home Support and Community Support Services) participated in our our celebrations during VON Week 2026. We acknowledged and congratulated a most extraordinary team. Long Service Awards were presented.

We had a interactive timed “paint night”. Teams were tasked to create visionary boards on the VON’s Strategic Priorities - Innovate, Excel, Empower and Advance. These principles shape our care, operations and culture. We also had lively games of Trivia and Who’s most likely, Alayacare Education, and some much deserved time together. 💙

VON Richmond has many contributions to our VON Week celebrations to recognize from our amazing community businesses, within Richmond and Inverness as well. All donations are passed along to our amazing Home Support and Community Support Services teams in Richmond county.
