EXPERIENCE THE WORLD! THE BEST YEAR OF YOUR LIFE! Thousands of teens become Rotary Youth Exchange Students each year. YOU could be one of them! Why Rotary?

Want to live in another country for a year? Want to learn another language? Want to experience a different culture? Rotary Youth Exchange provides students between the ages of 15 and 18 the opportunity of a lifetime! Its a chance to spend a year in another country learning the language and culture. Each year, hundreds of boys and girls apply through their local Rotary Club and district. Students g

enerally apply in August and September to go on exchange the next year. Outbound students and their parents are guided through months of orientation and information about the country of their exchange year. Outbound students typically stay with two or three Rotary-approved families and receive a monthly stipend for incidental expenses. Rotary Youth Exchange outbound students need to be above average students who are eager for the chance to try new things and meet new people. You will learn about other cultures, about other people and about yourself

Where can I go? We exchange with over 40 countries. Rotary Youth Exchange is one of the largest, oldest and most respected Youth Exchange Programs. Key reasons to consider Rotary include: orientation/training process before you leave, hosted by a Rotary Club and Host Families, activities with Rotary/Rotarians, low cost / everyone is a volunteer.

We are so excited to welcome our new Inbound students next month! ✨🌍 8 students from around the globe will be coming to spend a year in Southwestern Ontario—improving their English, learning about our cultures, and, most importantly... what the heck a "beaver tail" really is! They come from all over the world: 🇧🇷 🇩🇪 🇹🇼 🇦🇷 🇲🇽 🇫🇷 🇯🇵 and we can't wait to meet them!

We often talk about the transformative power of exchange—the personal growth that students undergo and the resilience they build while they navigate the trials, tribulations, joys, and wonders of spending a year in another country. Naomi, one of our Outbound students, is a perfect example of that personal growth and resilience. Originally destined for Norway, Naomi ended up doing her exchange in Sweden, and initially wasn't sure about the switch as it was pretty last-minute and not something she had anticipated or planned for. She'd been working on learning the Norwegian culture and the Norwegian language for almost 6 months, and suddenly, she was going to Sweden—not an ideal situation! Fast forward 12 months, and Naomi has absolutely THRIVED during her exchange! Her host club in Sweden adores her, she's had some pretty incredible experiences, and we, her sponsor district, couldn't be more proud of her! We are so excited to see her when she gets back in a few weeks to hear all about her experiences in Sweden. Congratulations Naomi, you are a rock star! 🤩

On Saturday April 29, the District 6330 Inbound students took a break from the Outbound orientation conference to plant trees with the Rotary Club of London.

Our Inbound students had a fantastic time at last weekend! ⛷️ For some, it was their first time skiing—what a wild adventure! Despite some initial jitters, everyone got out on the hills and had a great time. Kudos to all the students for getting out there and trying something new! 💪❄️
