How is it already that time of year again?!? As we wind down our summer gardens, there is a lot to do to get things ready for next year. Fall is the perfect time to plant perennials, and turn your attention to your indoor gardens. The annual Fall plant sale is around the corner! Hope to see you there!

Are you frustrated by the never-ending mysterious w**d in your garden? Join us for a guided walk to learn how to identify them!

Many invasive plants found in Ontario's natural areas began as garden plants. During this guided walk, participants will learn how to identify common garden escapees such as buckthorn and dog-strangling vine, understand their impacts on local ecosystems, and explore how to manage them. Participants will also learn about non-invasive garden plant alternatives that support pollinators, wildlife, and healthy ecosystems in a more sustainable way.

Whether you're a gardener, grower, or simply interested in native plants and conservation, this event is a great opportunity to learn how your planting choices can help protect Ontario's natural landscapes.

The City of London unveiled its new bicentennial peony bed today. Special thanks was given to our own Sherry Dailey for the information she shared with the city on the history of how the peony came to be London's civic flower in 1919.

Today we officially unveiled the Bicentennial Peony Garden at Rayner Gardens in the Civic Gardens Complex.

This new space celebrates London’s Civic Flower and highlights the city’s rich horticultural heritage through three interpretive signs honouring A. Percy Saunders and Lyman Cousins.

As part of London’s Bicentennial, the garden is a lasting legacy that will continue to grow and evolve over time.

Our May meeting was a wonderful evening spent learning (and smelling) all about lavender farming from Karen . Karen shared the joys and challenges of being a lavender farmer and gave us lots of tips on how we can get better performing plants. The mini flower show was stunning as always, congratulations to all our winners!
