The Society contributes money to the Rotary Christmas Tree lights on Main Street and the local cemetery. All projects are self-funded, and money is raised throu

gh an annual plant sale and bus trips to many exciting places. Each year student awards are awarded to schools in London that have a Horticultural program. Guest speakers who are experts or specialists in the Field of Horticulture, speak at the monthly meetings. Workshops are held in pruning, flower designs and other member requested topics.

March is already here!
Our March meeting is on the 16th at 7:30, Lambeth United Church.
Our Speakers are Irene Kicak and Veronica Tunzi. Talking about Grow Green: Sustainable Gardening with the Fancy Farmerettes
They are two girls who traded the concrete jungle for a down-to-earth life on their micro farm in Scotland, Ontario. Join us as they share how to garden more sustainable using h**p. From grow mats to garden mulch, you'll discover how these versatile, Canadian-made products can reduce your carbon footprint and benefit the environment.

Our Design for this month is "Finding the Pot of Gold" Interpretive Design.

We are hosting our general meeting at the Lambeth United Church on Jan. 19th at 7:30.
We are going to have a documentary/movie night - We Lend a Hand. The forgotten story of the Ontario farmerettes is a documentary which reveals the true and forgotten story of the Ontario Farm Service Force. It put 40,000 volunteer teenage girls to work between 1941 and 1952, arriving from different parts of Ontario and Quebec to many locations in Southwestern Ontario. Their job: to ensure critical food production during the most perilous period of modern history.

We will be accepting memberships for this year. Our new 2026 price is $10 for the year or $15 for the year per couple at the same address.
So if you have an interest in gardening or just like to get out for a night each month, your very welcome to join.
