Important update for our swimmers at East Lions Community Centre!
East Lions swimmers, we have an important update.
The pool at East Lions Community Centre will unfortunately need to close in July while we replace windows around the pool that were damaged. We will also be making changes to make the windows simpler to replace in the future, if needed
We know summer and swimming go hand in hand. Although the timing isn’t ideal, construction activity on the pool deck means it won’t be safe to operate the pool while this work is underway. To keep swimmers, lifeguards, and workers safe, the pool needs to close beginning July 2 until the end of September.
The good news is that we will contact East Lions pool users later this spring with passes to our other pools while the replacements take place. In the summer, our outdoor pools, spray pads, and wading pools across London will also be open.
We know how important the pool and our aquatic programs are to children, families, and seniors. We hope to complete this necessary work as quickly as possible.
Everything else at East Lions will remain open, so your regular summer programs and activities in the gymnasium and multi-purpose areas are still a go.
