Walking through church hurt and spiritual abuse can be deeply confusing and painful.
It can wound trust.
It can confuse faith.
It can leave people isolated, ashamed, angry, afraid, or unsure where to turn.
Church hurt and spiritual abuse can affect men and women alike because they touch the deeply human places of trust, faith, safety, and belonging.
Men and women, individuals and couples, church members and ministry leaders can all carry the weight of spiritual wounds. Some are grieving what happened. Some are trying to understand what was true and what was distorted. Some are wondering if it is safe to trust again.
At Gospel Care Canada, we offer Christ-centred, clinically-informed biblical counselling for those walking through church hurt, spiritual abuse, wounded trust, spiritual confusion, and complex suffering.
Our counsellors seek to provide careful, compassionate care shaped by Scripture, prayer, and the hope of the gospel.
For this Care Spotlight, the featured GCC counsellors are:
Jennifer Holmes
Dave Nannery
Mel Neufeld
Cody John Simpson
You do not have to walk through this alone.
