The fourth instalment of Ripping Good Yarns is at the Hall on October 7th. Don’t miss out!

☠ Ripping Good Yarns returns this October with some particularly ghostly and hair-raising tales. Jason Rip shares stories of Southwestern Ontario’s macabre past including Ambrose Small, the ghost of Eldon House, the Baldoon Mystery, ghost ships of the Great Lakes, the murder of Michael Donnelly and many others. Featuring live music by Stephen Holowitz and Jack Sizeland.

Come experience the World Wars through the eyes of the Canadian animals who lived it themselves; Winnie, the bear from Winnipeg who inspired Winnie-the-Pooh; Sergeant Bill the goat; Gander, the dog from Newfoundland; Bonfire and Bonneau, the dutiful horse and dog of John McCrae. The intricacies of human wars may be unclear to them, but love, loyalty, and loss break through the boundaries of species.

🫈Mr. Delahay and his six children spent the past year on Vancouver Island escaping their problems that await in London Ontario, including their house pitching into the river. Following Mrs. Delahay’s anxiety attack last year, the eldest son Colin has been reforming his terrible triplet brothers through organic food and trickery with the hope that their Granny may let them all return to live in her mansion. Now they’re being put to the test. To reunite them all, Colin must create the best story ever told, a story of sasquatches and monster robots.

You buy as many envelopes of numbered tickets as you want (for $2 or $5). Then you go to tables piled with treasures and place tickets in the jars for the treasures you hope to win! Next sit back buy a pop and snack and wait with baited breath for the drawing to commence and for your number to be called!
