Friends of the Coves Subwatershed Inc. The Coves is a hidden treasure in the heart of the City of London. http://www.thecoves.ca/index.php

The Coves is named for a series of three ponds that once formed a meander of the Thames River. The Coves Sub-watershed is a 710-hectare area in South west London. It is just one of many sub-watersheds that make up the greater Thames River Watershed. Within the Coves Sub-watershed, all of the water that falls to the ground, as precipitation or otherwise, drains to the Coves lowlands where natural r

avines, ponds, wetlands and floodplains are found. The Coves lowlands and adjacent upland woods are designated as the Coves Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) by the City of London for the high diversity of reptiles, amphibians, birds and plant species found there. The Coves lowlands also make up the most distinct oxbow formation within the City of London.

***2X Match To Help Protect Birds***

Generous gifts from friends like you help build a brighter future for the birds we all love. New donations are matched up to $400,000 now through 4/22.

Until April 22 the impact of new gifts, first recurring and one-time, will be matched 2X up to $400,000 thanks to a generous group of donors. Gifts received after the goal has been met will not be matched, but will continue to help protect birds and the places they need.
