For John and Mary Smibert, giving back runs in the family.

They are proud supporters of St. Joseph's Veterans Care Program, continuing a legacy of kindness started by John's parents Ross and June. "Dad gave from the heart and to remember the guys who didn't come home," John says.

That's a wrap for the 4th Annual Dumball Rally!

It was amazing to see Nu-Life Automotive and Union Lodge 380 bring the community together once again in support of the Veterans Care Program at St. Joseph's.

From family favorites like face painting and the dunk tank with Santa to the great car and motorcycle show, there was so much fun to go around!

One of the best moments of the day? The rally's pit stop at Parkwood Institute, where drivers pulled in to show off their rides and spend some quality time connecting with our veterans. ❤️

Swipe through to check out our favorite moments from the day! 📸👇

Palliative care is a setting that many people associate with grief and sadness. But the team in St. Joseph's Palliative Care Program is dedicated to providing comfort and compassion to patients and their loved ones when its needed most.

Last year, donor gifts made it possible for staff to participate in educational opportunities to embrace new knowledge and hone their skills.

We have liftoff! 🚀

Join us on October 14, 2026, for an unforgettable evening of inspiration and impact at the 2026 Tribute Dinner. Funds raised through Tribute will support the Spirit of St. Joseph’s Fund, enabling St. Joseph’s to respond to its greatest care, education and research needs.

This special night will also honour Marlene McGrath and Graham Porter for their outstanding leadership and lasting impact on St. Joseph’s, reflecting the very spirit of Tribute.

And that’s not all—we are beyond thrilled to officially announce that Canadian astronaut, Jeremy Hansen, is this year’s keynote speaker! He’ll share his story as a member of the Artemis II mission and the first Canadian to go to the moon.

When a team member’s family member experienced a miraculous recovery at St. Joseph’s, it sparked a mission to give back.

Hosted by Canadian Cedars of Hope, the Miles for Minds 5K Run and Walk brings the community together to support the Acquired Brain Injury Program at St. Joseph's. The proceeds will fund an advanced $55,000 XCITE therapy system that uses electrical stimulation to help patients rebuild strength and independence.

The splashes were big, the laughs were loud and the impact was massive.

Because of the community's generosity, the second annual Dunk Chair Fundraiser raised a total of more than $3000 for Ivey Eye Institute - tripling last year's total!

Whether you bravely sat in the hot seat, threw a winning pitch or helped run the show, thank you for making it a success.

The year was 2000. Andrew was only 11 years old. His life changed instantly when his arm was severely injured in a farming accident. At St. Joseph's Roth | McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre, surgeons were able to successfully reattach his arm through dozens of surgeons.

Donor support means that the care teams at HULC have the equipment and resources they need to provide life-changing care to people across Ontario.

Thanks to donor support, new bladder scanners at St. Joseph's are making care more efficient than ever before.

The new scanners–located in programs across St. Joseph's–create clear images of fluid in the bladder, right at the bedside. "It's crucial to real-time assessment and treatment planning," says nurse Anna Kras-Dupuis.
