A new flag being raised will create conversations and honour stories across Canada!

Thanks to the generosity of a donor, the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) held a design contest in 2025 to create artwork for a new flag. This initiative aimed to provide a unifying symbol for the brain injury community. The goal is to increase community engagement, involve individuals living with the effects of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), their caregivers, and families, to foster a sense of connection and to create awareness.

Dale Brain Injury Services is proud to stand with OBIA and will be Raising the Flag on June 5th in recognition of Brain Injury Awareness Month at the Nigel and Rhonda Gilby Centre for New Tomorrows, 345 Saskatoon St. London. This flag is a visible and lasting emblem representing resilience, hope and the strength of the ABI community. Together, we can build a stronger, more informed Ontario.

See link for more details about the OBIA flag.

Join us during National AccessAbility Week from May 31 to June 6, 2026 to celebrate the achievements of persons with disabilities in Canada.

This year's theme is "Building a Strong, Accessible Canada," reminding us that we all benefit when everyone has an equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

This is also a time to recognize the contributions of individuals, organizations and workplaces that are breaking barriers and working together to build a more accessible and inclusive country for all.

It is thanks to our ELF fund donors that events like this can happen.
