The Licensed Child Care Network is a group of early learning and licensed child care organizations dedicated to high-quality child care.

We work collaboratively with the community to raise public awareness about the importance of early learning and licensed child care. Our vision is a community that understands, promotes and champions early learning and child care. We work to achieve this through:
- education strategies that raise public awareness about the importance of early learning and child care;

- providing information for p

arents about the range of services available and how to choose quality early learning and child care experiences;

- promotion the profession of Early Childhood Education, and;

ATTENTION EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS! ✨

The Government of Canada now offers Canada Student Loan Forgiveness to eligible Early Childhood Educators, providing up to $15,000 to a maximum of 5 years! To qualify, you must:

⭐ Be licensed to work as an Early Childhood Educator
⭐ Work in an eligible community (rural areas or population centres with no more than 30,000 people living in it)
⭐ Be employed for 12 consecutive months (or 10 months within a school)
⭐ Provide in-person services for a minimum of 400 hours
⭐ Have a student loan in good standing

Do you know how to actually choose child care in London and Middlesex? 💭

London-Middlesex has a centralized online system called the London and Middlesex Region Child Care Waitlist, aka, One List. All you have to do is visit One List at london.onehsn.com. There, you can submit a single application and be added to multiple licensed child care provider’s waitlists!

Here are some tips to help you when choosing child care:

✨ Reach out to specific licensed child care providers to learn more about their policies and determine if they're a fit for your family (this can help you decide if you want to join their waitlist through One List!)
✨ Be flexible with your start times and other requirements
✨ Explore the One List site (and the sites of providers you're interested in) and empower yourself to choose child care with confidence

September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. 🧡 This day invites us to reflect on the ongoing, intergenerational impacts of residential schools and, in our own ways, work towards the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. It serves as a reminder that "Every Child Matters" should not just be a statement, but an ongoing commitment to addressing injustices.
