The first official Palestinian Wound Care protocol and Advanced Wound Care training is almost complete!

Students eligible for the certification showed up ready to concentrate on acing their written exam. Next up, they have to pass a practical exam to earn their certification. We are excited to work with Palestinian healthcare professions to grow the field of advanced wound care in Gaza, one of the places where these professionals with advanced wound care skills are needed the most

There are currently 83 healthcare workers held hostage in Israeli prisons, some of whom have been held for over 800 days, without any charges. The impunity with which the Israeli regime kidnaps, tortures, and kills Palestinian healthcare workers must stop.

Governments, like the Government of Canada, have obligations under the Geneva Convention to protect healthcare workers. Contact your government representatives to demand justice, today.

اليوم في حلقة جديدة من سلسلتنا، نطرح السؤال: ماذا يعني أن تكون عاملاً في الرعاية الصحية الفلسطيني؟ أن تمارس الطب في فلسطين يعني أن تخاطر بحياتك كل يوم. يعني أن تكون معرضاً للاعتقال، والتجويع، والسجن، والعمل تحت القصف. اليوم، مورين ولارا تزوران ما يُعرف بـ”مدينة الأسرى”، وهي مدينة أُنشئت للأسرى الفلسطينيين المحررين وعائلاتهم. إن احتجاز الفلسطينيين على يد الجيش الإسرائيلي أصبح شائعاً إلى درجة أن هناك مدينة كاملة خُصصت لاستقبال الأسرى المحررين. وكما ترون، حتى هذه المدينة لم تسلم من الدمار، واستُهدف الأسرى المحررون وعائلاتهم خلال حرب الإبادة. اليوم، لا يزال 83 من العاملين الفلسطينيين في الرعاية الصحية محتجزين في السجون الإسرائيلية دون توجيه أي تهم إليهم. هذه رسالة تذكير بأن على حكوماتكم واجباً قانونياً، بموجب القانون الدولي واتفاقيات جنيف، حماية العاملين في الرعاية الصحية. تواصلوا مع ممثليكم اليوم، واضغطوا عليهم للتحرك والدفاع عن العاملين في الرعاية الصحية، والمطالبة بوقف هذا الظلم.
