Want to help enrich our community? Join us! We're a group of volunteer neighbours organizing activities to promote healthy living and to help people connect with their community. We're interested in improving bike safety, promoting community gardens, upgrading parks and trails, and in encouraging farmers markets. There are lots of great ideas for the future. r ice-rink at the Nor'West Optimist Park (near Emily Carr Public School). About 100 children, youth and adults used the rink daily for fun skates and hockey. The rink became a gathering spot for neighbours to have fun, and meet each other. We're working towards a second community rink in Medway in 2016! This year we're also focusing on promoting road safety by advocating for more bike lanes and better signage, and supporting active travel to schools. In addition we're advocating for the building of bike parks and fitness/parkour facilities in under-used green spaces. We invite you to get involved. We need your ideas and your energy.
