NATS offers a variety of lifelong learning experiences to its members, with workshops, Intern Programs, master classes and conferences, all beginning at the chapter level and progressing to national events. Our mission is to advance excellence in singing through teaching, performance, scholarship, and research. A Student NATS (SNATS) Chapter is an organization of students that can meet, hold events and discussions, participate, practice, and learn more about voice teaching as a profession. Come join the SNATs team March 14 at 5pm for Q&A with upper year students. We will have representatives from different instruments, so be sure to bring your friends. We hope to see you there! We are so excited to be welcoming Renee Salewski this Friday, September 27 at 1:30pm in TC 100. We hope you will come join us in supporting cast members from Opera at Western’s upcoming production of Die Fledermaus. It is sure to be an interesting and educational time!

Renee is also offering vocal and acting coachings on Friday afternoon. Contact Beth Horst at [email protected] to book a time slot!

Happy first day of classes, Western Students!

There are few things more exciting than the start of a new school year. With a new year there are also new events and activities to attend and participate in!

Western SNATS has two events coming up this month!

First, we have a “Welcome to Music School” event on September 11 at 5:30pm in TC 100! This is geared towards our incoming first year students, but all are welcome to attend. Come visit the SNATS team and ask us questions you might have about how to thrive in your post-secondary voice education.

Next, we have our collab with Voice Fridays/Opera with an Intimacy Coaching workshop featuring our special guest, Renee Salewski! Topics of safe rehearsal practices in opera are so important and we are very excited to have Renee for this event. This event is taking place on Friday, September 27 at 1:30pm in TC 100!
