Five years after the attack that took a family, London continues to remember the our London family and stand with Muslim Londoners.

London Police Chief Thai Truong has shared a statement for the five-year anniversary. The statement names the pain still carried by family, friends, witnesses, first responders, health care workers, Muslim Londoners, and many across our city.

It also reminds us that the work cannot happen only on anniversaries. A safer London is built through everyday care, listening, trust, and action against Islamophobia and hate.

Want to help make London feel more welcoming?

LMLIP has free bilingual All Are Welcome Here signs for yards, windows, offices, storefronts, faith spaces, schools, and community spaces.

A sign may seem small, but for a newcomer, immigrant, or neighbour who has felt unwelcome, it can matter. It says: you are seen, you are safe here, and you belong in this community.

To request a free sign, email [email protected].

Please share this with a neighbour, organization, school, faith group, or local business that may want one.

June is Pride Month.

It is a time to honour 2SLGBTQI+ communities, learn about their history, and celebrate their contributions.

For newcomers to Canada, Pride Month can also be a helpful introduction to local community life. It is a chance to learn about rights, supports, public events, and the many ways people build belonging in London and Middlesex.

In Canada, Pride Season runs through the summer. Here in London, Pride London’s Summer Festival is scheduled for July 10 to 19, 2026.

A welcoming community is one where everyone can feel safe, respected, and included.
