As Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Partners, we received a beautiful letter last night and would like to share an important part of it with you:

"Dolly Parton's Imagination Library will continue.

We have prepared carefully for this day and for the future of the Imagination Library. Our organization is strong, our mission is clear, and our commitment to the children and families we serve has never been greater.

Dolly didn't build the Imagination Library to last for her lifetime. She built it to last for theirs.

That is an important distinction, and one I hope we will all carry with us in the days and years ahead.

Dolly's legacy will certainly live on through the songs she wrote, the characters she created and the joy she brought to millions of people. But I believe some of her most important legacy will live quietly in homes around the world β€” in the moments when a parent reads to a child, when a little hand turns a page, when a favorite story is requested one more time before bed, or when a child begins to believe that there is a bigger world waiting for them."

"I am very grateful to be receiving this bursary, and for all Childcan has done for my family and I throughout my cancer experience. The bursary will help alleviate the stress of worrying about paying for my schooling. I am looking forward to putting the bursary towards my tuition and continuing my educational journey! Meet Max. And yes, that medal you see is exactly what you think it is. πŸ©²πŸ˜‚

When Max was going through cancer treatment, his family leaned into every single joke, every giggle, and every moment of silliness they could find.

Because despite everything, Max is still a four-year-old boy who just deserves to be a kid.

So when Max made his Cancer Stinks medal, there was only one design that made sense. A pair of underwear with a big old skid mark. Because that is how a four-year-old says cancer stinks. πŸ˜„

Max shared his medals with family, friends, other kids he met along the way, and the incredible medical team who cared for him, spreading laughter wherever he went.

Because cancer stinks. But p**p jokes? πŸ’©Poop jokes will always rule. \

Some acts of love are so big they bloom for miles. πŸŒ»πŸ’›

We are so grateful to the Rombouts Family and many others across their community who are behind Miracle Max's Minions for turning their grief into something so beautiful and so generous for Childcan families. What they have built in Max's memory is a true testament to the power of love, community, and hope. πŸ’›

Miracle Max was a courageous little boy who faced leukemia every single day of his short life. Though he left us at just two years old, his spirit lives on in the sunflower fields planted in his memory.
