The LPFFA is once again proud to support Camp BUCKO.

Camp BUCKO (BUrn Camp for Kids in Ontario) is a free residential camp for young burn survivors in Ontario. All donations ensure that every child aged 7-17 with a qualifying burn injury can experience the joy and healing of our camp without any cost.

Donations to this great cause can be made by visiting their website. https://www.campbucko.ca/camp-bucko-burn-camp-for-kids-in-ontario/

🚒 PROUD TO SUPPORT EVERY MEMBER OF OUR COMMUNITY ❤️

The London Professional Fire Fighters Association (LPFFA) would like to sincerely thank North City Insurance Brokers and the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council for selecting London to receive 12 First Responder Sensory Support Kits.

Firefighters respond to people during some of the most stressful and difficult moments of their lives. For individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities, an emergency scene filled with flashing lights, sirens, unfamiliar people and activity can be especially overwhelming.

These sensory support kits give our firefighters another practical tool to help:

🔹 Reduce stress and sensory overload
🔹 Provide comfort and reassurance
🔹 Build trust during emergency situations
🔹 Deliver compassionate, inclusive care when it matters most

We are incredibly grateful to North City Insurance Brokers for supporting this important initiative and for their generous donation of 200 sensory support kits to 65 fire departments across Ontario.

That commitment will make a meaningful difference for first responders, individuals and families in communities across our province.

To North City Insurance Brokers and the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council — thank you for including London in this initiative and for helping us better serve every member of our community.

We are proud to accept these 12 kits and even prouder to put them to good use.

Serving our community means being prepared to support everyone.

Drowning Prevention Week
July 19–25, 2026

Every year, more than 400 Canadians lose their lives in preventable water-related incidents. Behind every statistic is a family forever changed. Even one drowning is one too many.

Whether you’re spending time at the pool, the beach, the lake, or on the water, simple decisions can save lives:

• Stay within arm’s reach of children whenever they are near water.
• Always wear a properly fitted lifejacket while boating.
• Learn to swim and be prepared for the unexpected.
• Stay sober in, on, and around the water. Alcohol and cannabis impair judgment, balance, and reaction time.

Drowning is fast, silent, and often preventable. Take a few moments to review these safety tips with your family before heading out this summer.
