Our RCSCC COURAGEOUS cadets are out around town this weekend fundraising through Tagging for the Navy League of Canada, London Branch.

Just a few weeks into the training year, we have many brand new cadets and their parents participating.

Londoners, if you see them, please say hello. Donations to the Navy League of Canada are appreciated.

Sharing heartbreaking news that Moira Roden passed away last week. She cared for COURAGEOUS staff, cadets and families in so many ways for decades, alongside her late beloved husband LCdr Keith Roden.

Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to Josh Roden, Diana, Taylor and Beccy.

Loving mother to Beccy, Josh and his wife Diana, all of London. Cherished grandmother and museum buddy to Taylor. Beloved sister to John and his partner Sharon. Predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Keith Roden.

A huge thank you to our Reviewing Officer, LCdr Janet Lang, Acting CO of HMCS Prevost / NCSM Prevost, for taking the time to visit our cadets and see everything amazing we did this year!

LCdr Lang spent her Sunday inspecting, awarding, and inspiring our cadets. As a token of our appreciation, we presented LCdr Lang a tote of COURAGEOUS memorabilia!

HUGE Congratulations to our very own CPO2 Green and CPO2 Papreja for receiving The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Education Foundation Scholarships!

Both Chiefs have been key parts of our Senior Cadet team this year and will no doubt continue to do amazing things in their post-secondary education. Bravo Zulu!

Yesterday, we held our 106th Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR), celebrating our training year and cadets with inspections, presentations, awards, food, and so much more!

COURAGEOUS cadets at the Battle of the Atlantic Memorial last night, exploring and reflecting as they read the names on each of the new memorial plaques. There were great questions asked and thoughtful discussions happening as cadets also reflected back to Sunday’s moving service and unveiling.

On Sunday May 4, RCSCC COURAGEOUS took part in the Battle of the Atlantic Memorial to remember and pay tribute those lost on the waters and in the air between 1939 and 1945.

This phase of the Memorial honours the names of those lost, bringing them together in one location. It is emotionally moving to walk among the plaques of names which is what our cadets did last night at the beginning of our training night.

Last week, our Senior Cadets hosted a 'Make and Mend' uniform training day to prepare for some awesome parades coming up. Cadets had opportunities to polish boots, iron uniform parts, and spend time with friends!

A few select cadets also got the opportunity to practice 'Piping the Side' as they prepare to be the Ceremonial Side Party for the upcoming Battle of the Atlantic Gala and Ceremony with HMCS PREVOST!
