2025 FCYFF Experimental Finalist- Out of Touch

An Experimental film directed by Charlotte Bondy, Madison Caruana, and Christian McCulloch from St. Thomas of Villanova Secondary School (in Windsor-Essex Catholic DSB)

βš—οΈ "Out of Touch" is a reflection on current society's addiction to their phones. The film follows a technology dependant boy (Luca Quarterone) who fails to enjoy the beauties around him.

🎬 Charlotte Bondy, Madison Caruana, and Christian McCulloch are grade 12 students at St Thomas of Villanova Secondary School. With Bondy's creativity and organization, Caruana's dedication and artistic perspective, and McCulloch's technical skills, they make an excellent filmmaking team. Charlotte Bondy, Madison Caruana, and Christian McCulloch are excited to see what they create next.

A narrative film directed by Ace Price from Saunders Secondary School (in TVDSB).

🎭 As a woman waits for her boyfriend when she suddenly discovers that a shadowy figure lurks in her yard.

🎬 Ace Price is a director, actor, and producer from London, Ontario. She has always had a passion for making films since she was a little kid, starting with films starring her stuffed animals. She loves being involved in all parts of a movie's production and is so excited to have her film "Knock Knock" featured in this years FCYFF!

🎀 A scientific expedition to the past can’t go wrong right? Wrong, a group of scientists get trapped thousands of years from home, captured by ancient humans but even worse, their only hope lies in the office idiots who must work together to rescue their coworkers and return to the present.

🎬 "I’m a student at Saunders Secondary School who took a tv and video course my grade 11 year. In that class I was tasked with creating a submission for the Film Festival and β€œLong Before Zero” is the culmination of that project."

βš—οΈ Have you ever felt caught between home and belonging? "Adrift" follows the story of two girls living in a motel, where the instability of their circumstances contrasts their quiet ability to make waves.

🎬 ForgΓͺt is a student filmmaker whose work explores themes of home, identity, and resilience. Currently studying film at Toronto Metropolitan University, she continues to unpack what makes cinema meaningful to her: its ability to represent experiences that are too often overlooked or misunderstood.

🎭 A mysterious short film about two friends on a road trip who encounter an eerie old man and his unsetting otherworldly place.

🎬 "The Road” is Mohamad’s first film as a director. He took on many roles in the project, including writing, editing, filming, and costume design. With a passion for storytelling and visual creativity, he brings a fresh and dedicated perspective to filmmaking.
