Giving Sacs - London & Area Giving SACs (Giving to Seniors at Christmas)
formerly Stockings for Seniors Giving SACs (Giving to Seniors at Christmas), in Christmas Sacks.

We received a response last year after completing the second year of Senior Stockings (former name) and I want to quote it here...

"What an AWESOME initiative! While we tend to focus on making the holidays joyful for children, it really is about bringing joy to all. The holidays can be a lonely time for those who are elderly and, as we know, this has been especially so during the pandemic given r

estrictions on visiting family members and particularly those in long-term care. With so many philanthropic initiatives to support during the holiday season, it is commendable that you brought awareness to and helped the often-overlooked senior demographic."

I think that perfectly summarizes why we do this and why it matters. As we are living with less restrictions, how this initiative has run will change but hopefully for the better and into a more sustainable program.
