After a winter break, Pilots4Paws is back at it. ✈️🐾
This Sunday (weather permitting) we’re planning a mission from Hearst to London, Ontario to transport Mickey and Lola, two small senior dogs in need of a second chance.
After being surrendered in Hearst, Herd About Rescue secured a temporary placement with Chews and Snooze while a long-term solution was arranged. Happy’s Place Retirement Home for Dogs has stepped up to welcome them and will work to find them loving homes where they can spend their golden years!
Transporting them by road would mean over 12 hours of travel, and volunteer drivers are limited in Northern Ontario. By air, the trip will take under three hours, dramatically reducing travel time and stress for these two seniors.
This mission’s fuel has been generously covered by Herd About Rescue and Happy’s Place, helping make the flight possible.
Pilots4Paws flights are entirely volunteer-run and funded through donations. As we head into the busy spring and summer rescue season, we’re hoping to ramp up more missions like this!
If you’d like to help keep these rescue flights in the air, you can find our GoFundMe on our website (link in bio).
And if your rescue needs help with transport, don’t hesitate to reach out.
