We braved the cold last Monday afternoon to host the 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 event at Bud Miller All Seasons Park. It was wonderful to have Elder Shirley share stories from her childhood—stories that many of our newcomers could deeply connect with.

A heartfelt thank you to Charlene and Jolene of the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre for the delicious Bannock! Our attendees couldn’t get enough of it and kept coming back for thirds and even fourths. Enjoying fresh Bannock cooked over the fire while sharing stories made the experience especially meaningful and memorable for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to the Lloyd Curling Club for welcoming our newcomer and community kids to Wintergration: Curling! The kids had an amazing time learning something new, building confidence, and of course—sliding on the ice!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for our Wintergration: Cultural Learning event held at the Lloydminster Public Library. We learned and got to create Indigenous Baby Moss Bags with Jolene and Danielle of the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre. We are grateful for the opportunity to share space, deepen understanding, and learn the traditions that continue to nurture families and communities.

Last Saturday was absolutely beautiful to take both newcomer and community kids to Table Mountain Regional Park for our Wintergration Skiing event! It was so much fun to see the kids build confidence and use their new skills down the slopes.

A huge thank you to Table Mountain - Official Page instructors and staff for their patience, guidance, and great hospitality! A big appreciation also goes to Border City Connects for getting us to and from the hill safely and comfortably.

What a fantastic day of learning, laughter, and connection!
