Nova Scotia Accessibility Training. Now Just a Click Away.

The Nova Scotia Accessibility Directorate is pleased to announce that video resources—including two French-language versions—are now available as online learning modules on the province’s SkillsOnlineNS portal.

Courses include:

- Built Environment Accessibility Standards (EN/FR)
- Understanding Ableism (EN/FR)
- Introduction to Disability
- Introduction to Accessibility Barriers and Solutions.

You and your employees can now complete these modules and get digital certificates. For more information on how to register for an account and access this learning, check out their website.

Too important not to share. The government is offering funding to recruit and retain healthcare professionals. If anyone has experience with grant writing, recruiting and retention, now is the time to apply.

I'm sure it's not news that Liverpool and South Queens could benefit from dentists, doctors and other health care professionals!

The Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment (OHPR) Community Fund provides funding to help communities recruit, welcome and retain healthcare professionals.

A great afternoon had by all at our June Business After Hours event at the Brooklyn Marina!

Remember at our AGM when the theme was Food Security? We had a lively and inspiring discussion that has lead to action and innovation in the community.

Funding now has been announced to help communities address food insecurity, the deadline to apply is August 31st.

Communities and community organizations can apply for funding from the Local Food Security Initiatives program to help support activities that address food security.
