🚨 Trail Advisory for Tomorrow 🚨

The Victoria Rail Trail will be hosting the Kawartha Sun Run, an event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for men's mental health.

Please note that the section of Victoria Rail Trail from Garnet Graham Park to Superior Road will be closed to trail traffic until 11:00 a.m. while approximately 700 runners participate in the event.

KATVA is proud to support this important community initiative, with our KATVA volunteers serving as Course Marshals along the route. Our volunteers will also remain on-site until approximately 12:00 noon to help monitor the area and ensure the safety of all trail users and participants.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation during the event as we support this worthwhile cause. If you are planning to ride the trails on Sunday, please stay off the trail in this section. Feel free to park at Superior Propane staging area and head north.

💖 WE DID IT! 💖

Following last weekend's KATVA Annual Poker Run, we are thrilled to announce that KATVA has officially surpassed $100,000 in lifetime donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation!

This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the amazing support of our riders, volunteers, sponsors, and landowners - it takes a real community effort!

After all the proceeds were counted, we found ourselves just shy of our $100,000 goal. An anonymous donor stepped forward with a generous $1,000 contribution, pushing us over the top and helping us achieve our goal. Thank you for your generous donation! 🩷

Together, we have raised more than $100,000 to support local healthcare through the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, and that is something every member of the KATVA family should be proud of.

Thank you for helping us make a difference in our community. Here's to next year! The KATVA Annual Poker Run is always the first Saturday in June, so mark your calendars now: June 5, 2027

Before you head out, make sure you’re properly covered.

Just like driving a car, operators must be able to provide proof of insurance, ownership, and your machine must be properly plated.

✔ License plate
✔ Insurance documents
✔ Proper vehicle ownership/registration
✔️ Valid trail permit or temporary pass

Not having any of these could cost you a $305 fine.

Take a few minutes to check before you ride. It’s worth it.

Yesterday was another fantastic Poker Run to add to the books!

Congratulations to our top poker hands:
🥇 1st Place – a cool $1,000 – Marni
🥈 2nd Place – Craig
🥉 3rd Place – Eddie (not pictured)

While we're still finalizing the numbers, there's no doubt this year's Poker Run was a tremendous success.

Most importantly, all proceeds from the event will support the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, and sponsored this event. Your generosity and support make a meaningful difference in our community.
