Kawartha ATV Association
You are welcome to join KATVA and ride with us. We are a community-based ATV club that proudly promotes and offers, safe and enjoyable ATVing, in Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough County. We are centrally located in the heart of Ontario ATV country. KATVA members enjoy dense forest tracts, natural vistas, historic stops, wildlife viewing and majestic outlooks. Our membership respects the environment and the recreational pursuits of other trail users. We are the foremost advocate for safe and responsible use of ATVs in Kawartha Lakes. Photo Sharing Notice

Hunting Season & Trail Safety - Share the Trails

A reminder as we head into fall: KATVA trails remain open through November 30, and during hunting season we share many of the areas we ride with hunters.
Some key dates to be aware of this fall:

🟠 Black Bear: hunting is already underway in our area and continues through November 30
🟠 Deer: bow seasons begin October 1, with the main gun season November 2–15
🟠 Moose: bow season October 3–9 and gun season October 19–25
🟠 Please note: These are just a few of the key hunting periods to be aware of.

Other hunting may be underway throughout the fall, so riders should always expect that hunters may be in the area while on the trails.

If you're heading out on the trails this fall, wear bright, highly visible clothing, stay on designated trails, keep an eye out for hunters and be courteous when you encounter them.

A quick reminder for hunters: If you're heading into the bush to hunt, please remember vehicles are not permitted on KATVA or KORMA trails. For ATV/SXS/dirt bike use, a valid pass is still required.

Hunters and riders both enjoy these beautiful areas. A little extra awareness and respect helps everyone enjoy them safely.

🛠️ TEAMWORK ON THE TRAILS! 🌲🍂

It was a beautiful fall day to get some trail maintenance done!

Today, our KATVA/KORMA Trail Maintenance crew teamed up with TMSC and OF4WD to level out and improve Trail 20!

It's great to have different trail organizations working together to improve our shared trail systems and keep them safe and enjoyable for all trail users!

👏 A huge thank you to all the volunteers who are out there today, donating their time and energy to make our trails better.

Many hands make light work and better trails for everyone! 💪🌲

🏃‍♀️🍂 TRAIL NOTICE – TURKEY TROT – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10

The Victoria Rail Trail between Garnet Graham Park in Fenelon Falls and Northline Road will be busy with runners throughout the morning and early afternoon.

🕣 Registration: 8:30 AM
🏃 Race Start: 10:00 AM
🏁 Expected Finish: 1:00 PM

A friendly request to our ATV riders: Between 8:30 AM and approximately 1:00 PM, please use the same road bypass route that SXS riders normally take, reconnecting with the trail at Northline Road/Garnet Graham Park.

This will help keep our runners safe and allow everyone to enjoy their day safely and with minimal interruptions.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us make this a safe and successful event!

🍁Join us on Saturday, October 10th for our Annual Fall Colours Ride to Haliburton

🍂It's that time of year when the colours are starting to touch the trees! With luck, they will be at their peak making this a beautiful ride. Join us as we take a run to Haliburton for lunch. We'll stop at Ritchie Falls for some sightseeing!

Bring snacks. Lunch will be at a restaurant in Haliburton, at guest's own cost.

This is a beginner level ride.
SXS are not allowed on this ride.
2-ups with passengers must be legal factory 2-ups.
