If your work connects to employment, hiring, training, career planning, business support, or community development, you know how much information is out there — and how quickly things can change.

New funding opportunities. Upcoming events. Local labour market updates. Training programs. Employer resources. Community initiatives. Reports and tools that can help inform better decisions.

The challenge is not always a lack of information. Sometimes, it’s knowing where to find the information that matters.

That’s where Community Connections comes in.

Each month, WDB’s Community Connections newsletter brings together relevant updates, resources, opportunities, and labour market information from across Northumberland, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton.

It’s designed to help employers, service providers, educators, community partners, and workforce stakeholders stay informed without having to search across multiple places.

If you want a simple way to stay connected to what’s happening in our local workforce, we invite you to subscribe.

Pride month isn't just a celebration. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when a community shows up for one another. 🌈

It’s about people showing up, speaking out, and creating spaces where everyone feels safe to be who they are.

This month, look to your local organizations to find the events and hear the stories.

Support the spaces that uplift 2SLGBTQI+ voices, that make inclusion real, not just symbolic.

Because when we show up for each other, we create the kind of community we all deserve.
