Established in 1970, the Club removes financial barriers by keeping program costs affordable and subsidizing programs for families who cannot afford to pay. Accreditions: HIGH FIVE, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, and Canadian Accreditation Council. Offer the following programs and services:

- Before and After School Programs

We are starting a brand new feature here on our BGC Kawarthas page called Thankful Thursdays, and who better to show our appreciation than two local heroes?

Brady Nicholson, who works for us, and Justin Sadler, who used to, also worked for Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service last year when there were wildfires near Bobcaygeon and Kirkfield. They helped put them out. We can't thank them enough. And thank you again to all of the firefighters and volunteers for protecting our precious homes and environment.

LOOKING FOR A FAMILY DOCTOR OR NURSE PRACTITIONER?
The City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team will be at BGC Kawarthas to help connect families with a family doctor or nurse practitioner. It only takes about 5 minutes to get on the list!
- Location: Lindsay BGC Clubhouse – Front Entrance
- Date/ Time: Wednesdays, September 9, 16 & 23 from 4:00–5:30 PM

Do you want to gain some work experience and make some money on the side, while helping our BGC Kawarthas programs? Reach out, and we could put you in for some shifts at Peterborough's Delta Bingo & Gaming.

You would be going to Delta Bingo & Gaming for shifts at 1019 Clonsilla Ave., but you would be representing the BGC Kawarthas Foundation. Every shift is 2 hours and 15 minutes, with the requirement of showing up at least 15 minutes early. Shifts can vary from the morning, afternoon, evening, and late night.

Responsibilities include cleaning slot machines and bingo tables after use, serving food, and bringing a welcoming feel to visitors. You will be provided with a small training module, and your first shift would be a shadowshift, but afterwards, you would be qualified to do official shifts with us. If you wish, you can also be given volunteer hour credit.

To all parents with children between Grades 3-8! We are offering your kid the chance to be in an indoor Floor Hockey league this Fall for our Fall Sports program! We will be offering leagues in Grades 3-4, 5-8!

It will be starting this September 28th and will go once a week for twelve weeks. It will be offered in Lindsay.

We are opening our first ever Men's 2's Beach Volleyball Tournament Sept 26th! Registration will open online and by phone/in person Sept 1st at 10:00am. This will be a soft launch into potentially having a Men's Beach 2's League next summer!

-Official Beach rules will apply
-Cash Prizes
-Lots of Games
-8 Teams (2 Pools of 4)

Do you have any infants or young children that have trouble getting a good night's rest? We at BGC Kawarthas are offering you free sleep consultation through our Infant and Child Development Program (ICDP), and you can talk with our consultants to figure out a day and time that works for you.

Our consultants can help families develop and implement a sleep plan and routine that works for them and can help their child sleep better throughout the night and for naps.
