Welcome to Lethbridge's Minor Softball Association for ages 3-19.

Our mission is to allow the learning and development of the sport of softball in a fun and motivating atmosphere where everyone is welcome. We have a U4 Blastball and U5 T-ball division as well as a U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 divisions. No experience is necessary as we have many experienced coaches willing to teach basic, intermediate and advanced skills.

It was fitting that Softball Day in Canada fell on the same day our House League Playoffs where held.

We would like to THANK the COACHES, PLAYERS, PARENTS, UMPIRES, VOLUNTEERS AND ALL THE FANS OF THE GAME for another successful season.

We also want to give a special thanks to Softball Valley Grounds Crew for all the work that it took into getting the diamonds ready for this weekend even though the rain Thursday and Friday was a lot to handle as well as all the lunches that were prepared for the teams!

It was great to see so many players giving it their all and show casing their talent! Congratulations to all the teams on their hardware this weekend! ❤️🥎😍🥎

A Message from Our President

It is with a deep sense of loss that I write upon learning of the passing of Gary Hathaway.

In recent years, Gary has been a passionate advocate for girls’ softball in Lethbridge. If you have attended any of our games or tournaments, chances are you’ve seen him—and I hope you had the opportunity to get to know him. In every conversation, Gary expressed genuine excitement about our athletes and the progress they were making. His dedication was evident in the way he consistently made time for our organization, adjusting his schedule to ensure the girls always had the opportunity to play.

My connection with Gary spans decades—playing and coaching alongside his oldest son, coaching his younger son, and eventually working together to coach two championship teams. His smile was infectious, his commitment unwavering, and his love for youth sports undeniable. He will be deeply missed.

On behalf of myself and everyone at Lethbridge Minor Softball, we extend our heartfelt thoughts and condolences to his family.

I will miss you, my friend. As the season begins, I hope you’re stepping onto a field somewhere filled with the scent of freshly cut grass, hearing the excitement of young voices, the crack of bats, and the pop of gloves. I hope you know just how much you are already missed.
