Hello everyone!
Did you know this year is the 35th anniversary of the Lethbridge Astronomy Society? To celebrate, we're having a party! Saturday July 25, 2026. We'll be offering tours of the observatory, telescope views of the Sun if the sky is clear, and a presentation on the history of our organization. Grab your tickets at the link below!

March 28th Public Observing Update:

First, remember we're starting at 8:30 pm tonight instead of our regular time. Please try not to arrive before 8:20, as we'll still be setting up before then.

We're expecting some light smoke or haze in the sky tonight, but there shouldn't be much in the way of cloud cover. Jupiter and the Moon will likely steal the show, though Venus will also be setting in the west. Be sure to dress for a windchill of minus 6 degrees.

We're expecting clear skies and a bright moon this evening for public observing. Ticket holders:

The road down to the observatory is pretty bumpy right now, so drive carefully.

Dress for a gentle breeze and a windchill of -15°C.

Please try not to arrive before 7:15 if possible, as we'll still be setting up before then.
