Meet Kova!

This 4-year-old spayed pit bull beauty is the perfect mix of fun and chill. She loves tug toys, walks great on leash, and already knows her basic commands.

Kova thrives with structure and boundaries and would do best with kids 12+. She’s friendly, affectionate, and ready for an active home that also enjoys quiet downtime together.

Kova’s cat compatibility is unknown at this time, so preferably to a home without cats. she could be a good fit with another medium to large dog after proper introductions.

🎉 ADOPTED — Bones (BK) Has Found His Family! 🎉

After 2 years of patiently waiting, our boy Bones, affectionately known as BK, has officially found his forever home.

When Bones first arrived at the rescue, he was insecure and reactive toward strangers and other dogs. He wasn’t sure how to navigate the world yet… but he never stopped trying. And neither did we.

What we didn’t know then was that his perfect family was already right here with us.

Breanne, one of the wonderfully kind humans from the Wicca’s Rescue team, has been volunteering every Saturday… taking dogs on walks, adventures, grooming appointments, vet runs, and everything in between. She gave BK her time, her patience, and her heart. And alongside Mike, they put in immense work to help Bones become the confident, well-rounded dog he is today.

Now BK goes everywhere. Hiking trails, visiting new places, meeting new people & most importantly, living the life he always deserved. He’s come leaps and bounds, proving what love, structure, and commitment can do.

💛 After all this time, his family was right under his nose.

Congratulations, Breanne, Mike & Bones! We couldn’t be happier.
Here’s to the greatest adventure yet. 🐾✨

This affectionate love bug has a charming personality that makes him both sociable with a calm demeanor. Whether he’s lounging on the couch or gearing up for his next adventure, Bruno is always ready to bring joy to his surroundings. He is house trained, understands basic commands, not destructive and enjoys the company of other dogs (but he can be quite selective about his friends) when introduced slowly - what more can you ask for!

Very calm and cuddly

Now that we've spent some time with Tommy and he's visited our vet, we know a bit more about him and what he needs from his foster family. What are we looking for?

- Someone who is home most of the time

- A home without stairs or, if there are any, the potential to put a small gate to ensure Tommy doesn't trip down the stairs (we can supply the gate)

- Someone willing to feed Tommy 3-4 times using a syringe for the short term (it turns out that he is very underweight and quite the picky eater) He is used to the syringe!

- A home without dogs or, if any, another small senior dog with low energy might work

- Someone who loves cuddles because Tommy LOVES being carried and held ♥️

Remember that we pay for everything when you foster a Wicca dog!

{THIRD TIME'S A CHARM FOR HUNTER}

1ST : Hunter was found stray by animal control and brought to the local shelter (outside of Montreal). He was set to be euthanized but the amazing One Last Chance Rescue team put out a call for help. We answered and agreed to welcome him into the Wicca family 🥳

2ND : Hunter was adopted a year later. His mom had him for about 5 months when she became very sick 💔 and couldn't take care of him anymore. We welcomed him back

3RD : Today, Hunter left on his absolutely forever freedom drive!! 🥳🥳🥳

Hunter's dads drove from Gatineau, through the snowstorm, to come pick up their boy. It's the 3rd time they've driven down for him in a little over a week. Commitment! We love that!! They saw pictures of Hunter online and knew that they were meant to be a family. They have German Shepherd experience, they're committed to continuing his training and, just as important, they will love him forever.

{WHEN YOUR MOM GETS SICK AND HAS TO MAKE A HEART BREAKING DECISION 💔}

Hunter's mom recently ended up in the hospital following a medical emergency and she has a long road ahead towards recovery. Knowing that Hunter deserves more than she can now give, she gave us a call and of course, we welcomed him back. Sending his mom all of the positive vibes for a sp*edy recovery ♥️

Here's what we've learned about Hunter while he was in a home:

At 3-years old, Hunter is a young pup that is good with most dogs, extremely smart, good on leash, crate trained, house trained and already has all of his basic commands down. What a good boy! Depending on the mood of the day, he can be the most active or couch potato boy you will ever meet. While Hunter was with his previous family, he learned how to open up more and adapted fairly quickly to his surroundings.

How do you know if you could be the one for sweet boy Hunter? Hunter is looking for a forever family without small children, with or without another dog for him to play and "dog" with. His forever family has to be dedicated to providing a structured environment and helping Hunter continue to build his confidence, especially when meeting new people. He can be still be a little skeptical of new people but with practice and patience, you will see nothing but success!!

Aside from looking to you for support, Hunter will forever look to you for cuddles and unlimited belly rubs!
