Black Gold Quilt Patch Guild Black Gold Quilt Patch, a quilt guild in Leduc, Alberta, founded in 1995. Biannual quilt shows, with a quilt raffle. Keep an eye on our page for further updates.

We are very dedicated to making quilts to donate to our chosen charities. We meet the first Wednesday of the month for January and February of 2023. Starting in March 2023, we will meet the first Tuesday of every month at Telford House, 4907 46 Street, Leduc. We have a delightful line up of presenters every month. All skill levels of quilters are welcome. Guests are welcome for a $5 fee. Please contact [email protected] if you wish to attend.

Retreat News
November 19th -21st 2026

Pat and Mary have been working and planning through the summer to prepare for the “Sleep At Home Retreat” in November.

Where: at the Leduc Fellowship Church in Rollyview Road

When: November 19, 20 & 21, 2026.

Times: 9 am to 9 pm

Cost: $150.00

Meals: bring your lunches and two suppers. A smoked brisket supper will be provided on Saturday. Tea & coffees will be provided.
PLEASE - No nuts of any kind due to severe allergies

To save the environment please bring your own plate, cutlery for Saturday’s meal and your own mug for your tea and/or coffee.

We ask everyone to bring a healthy snack for snack table.
We will have a table for items to give away that you don’t want any more.

Breakout sessions: wool appliqué to make a pin cushion. Foundation Paper Piecing to make a spring tulip table runner or a Christmas tree center piece.
George Wright has agreed to teach a mini barn quilt painting workshop. All necessary equipment: primed ACM board, brushes, tape, paints and suggested patterns will be provided to make an 8” barn quilt. There is an additional $25 cost for this workshop.

Bring your smiling beautiful faces, cheery personalities and have fun with new and old friends. There will be lots of games & prizes.

Lotto Blocks

- If you would like to play please make a 12 1/2" square block. Our September colour is Yellow, and our theme is Summer. So please have at least a bit of yellow in your block. Also your background fabric should be a white or cream and not too busy, a very small amount of colour is fine. We will put your name in a draw.

Someone will win a set of blocks. Please if you win, we ask that you keep making the monthly blocks, so others also have enough blocks for a quilt. Use any pattern or an original block. Please no fusible products. You can piece your blocks, or applique by hand or machine with finished edges.

Heads up to everyone in the community: our upcoming vendor market is officially FULL. All vendor spaces have been claimed.

We've been made aware that Tosha Gamble from outside of Black Gold Quilt Patch Guild– QuiltFest 2026 is posing as a vendor coordinator and collecting sign-ups and/or payments for spaces that don't exist. This person is not affiliated with our guild in any way, and any "sign-up" they're offering right now is not legitimate.

A photo of this individual is attached below so you can recognize them and avoid getting scammed.

Please do not send money, deposits, or personal information to anyone claiming to still have vendor spots available for this event.

If you've already been contacted by someone like this, we'd encourage you to stop communication with them and report the account/post if it's on social media.

If you have questions about vendor space for this or future events, please reach out to our President directly through our official page Black Gold Quilt Patch Guild — not through outside individuals or unofficial messages.

Quilters Palette is a Canadian barn quilt painting business and supply studio based in Priddis, Alberta, just west of Calgary. Founded by Jane Morgan in 2021, the company has grown into one of Canada’s few dedicated suppliers of barn quilt materials and a trusted resource for artists, makers, and creative communities across the country.

Quilters Palette offers a wide range of products and services for both beginners and experienced barn quilt artists, including ACM panels, Benjamin Moore exterior paints in small quantities, barn quilt kits, custom barn quilts, and in-person painting classes. The
