Fort Langley Community Hall

Fort Langley Community Hall In the heart of historic Fort Langley, the beautiful Fort Langley Community Hall, commissioned by the Women's Institute in 1924, replaced original hall.

The Fort Langley Community Improvement Society was founded by the Fort Langley Women’s Institute in 1924 in order to build the hall. The building was completed in 1931. The architect was Archibald Campbell Hope, brother of Fort Langley entrepreneur Charles Hope. The hall was built and continues to be owned an maintained by the society and it’s volunteers. The hall has a large, gracious, 2 storey e

difice with a grand ballroom which boasts a horsehair sprung dance floor, a stage with lighting and sound and a balcony. Downstairs there is a meeting room, an office and the Fort Langley Branch of the Fraser Valley Regional Library. The Fort Langley Community Improvement Society would like to thank the Township of Langley for their generous contributions towards supporting, and maintaining the operation of the Fort Langley Community Hall.
