This is good. The 16th Ave entrance to the pond has no parking and is dangerous to get in and out of. This will also provide a place to turn around so cars can approach the Camp from the East to make a safe right hand turn into McLean.

Exciting enhancements at Campbell Valley Regional Park in Langley

Work has started on projects that will enhance the visitor experience and access to the McLean Pond area while providing greater protection for wildlife habitat.

Well-defined trails will help protect tree roots, soil, waterways, plant communities, and wildlife habitat, while improving visitor access, wayfinding, and safety. Equestrian access and trails will be enhanced, cycling and hiking opportunities will be expanded, and new amenities will include toilets, benches, viewpoints, and picnic tables.

A new formal entrance off 208th Street will provide safer access for equestrians, hikers, and cyclists, along with additional parking, including bus parking for school field trips and community group outings. These improvements will help meet the growing demand for park access from nearby communities and support future population growth.

We want to thank each and every one of the approximately 150 people who came out on the weekend to work at Camp McLean. Almost all of the tasks on the job board were completed! Special thanks to the 120th McLean BP Guild for feeding everyone lunch.

The Wednesday Old Scouters crew's latest project - replace the rotting privacy screens for the Rotary bathrooms. They need to be painted, but another job completed from the long list of things that need to be fixed around the Camp. Come join us! Wednesdays at 10am. We'll feed you lunch!

16th Avenue has always been busy, but now that 16th/King Rd. has been connected to Marshall Road in Abbotsford, we are seeing an almost constant flow of cars and large trucks. It has never been very safe to make a left turn out of the Camp, but now it absolutely is not. We are asking people, therefore, to plan their route to and from Camp McLean to avoid making a left-hand turn into or out of the Camp. Thank you for keeping our Camp safe!
