North Langley Basketball Association

North Langley Basketball Association North Langley Basketball Association (NLBA) was started in 1999.

NLBA is a community sports organization that supports long term athlete development and fair play. We are a non profit organization that is driven by volunteers serving children and youth in Langley and some surrounding cities. We welcome boys and girls ages 5 to 17 and strive to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate in a fun season.

Registration for U7 to U13 is closing soon.

There are a few spaces left in U9 and U13. Spread the word about those spots

Registration for U15 and U18 will stay open longer as their season is starting later.

Thank you so much for the scholarship and opportunity to achieve my goals to become a civil engineer. North Langley Basketball was a way for me to stay active and make long term friends. I loved playing for your association and hope that you keep supporting local students.

It's that time of year again for Highschool graduates in Langley to apply for the Tyler McLaren North Langley Basketball Scholarship.

Tyler McLaren was a young man who played in our league. His parents Everett and Lisa helped get the league started in the beginning. Even though Tyler faced challenges he
Tyler McLaren was a young man who faced adversity but was able to accomplish so much. He graduated from WGSS in 2008. He was known for his love, courage, determination and sense of humour.

NLBA wants to continue to honour Tyler through this scholarship.

If you are graduating this year from a school in Langley please talk to your school counselor about applying.

The following criteria determines the recipient of the awards:

• Recipient played a minimum of two seasons of basketball between U15 and U18 in the North Langley Basketball Association league
Or
• Recipient played a minimum of two years on a junior or senior high school team in Langley
• Recipient has a noted positive attitude as a student and athlete
• Recipient has firm plans to attend post secondary training/education
