USW Local 2009

08/27/2026

USW Local 2009 strongly condemns the recent advertisement produced by Good Good Golf and Callaway depicting violence against women.

While they have since removed the advertisement and apologized, this content should never have been created, approved, or released in the first place.

As a union that proudly co-hosts the Bob Derby Memorial Golf Tournament with MoveUP, we believe sports should bring people together and create an environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, and safe.

Violence against women is never funny. It is not entertainment. It is not a marketing strategy. And it is never acceptable.

The values portrayed in this advertisement do not reflect the values of our Local or the principles we work to uphold in our workplaces and communities.

We can and should expect better.

Respect. Equality. Solidarity.
