National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. It is a day to honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system.

Today is an opportunity for remembrance, reflection and learning as we deepen our understanding of the history and enduring legacy of residential schools, and the ongoing journey toward truth, healing and reconciliation.

We encourage our communities to participate by taking time to listen, learn and reflect.

Every driver has a story, and every mile they drive helps keep our communities moving.

National Trucking Week is about celebrating drivers like Tej and Varinder. Bringing 6 and 5 years of experience to the road, they are two of the many individuals who keep Canada moving.

Thank you, Tej and Varinder, for the work you do every day and for being an important part of Canada’s trucking industry.

This National Trucking Week, we’re celebrating drivers like Michael, who have dedicated decades to keeping Canada moving.

Michael has been behind the wheel for 42 years, and these days, he has a co-pilot by his side: Maximillian Tiberius Caesar, or Max for short.

We made sure Max got some lunch too!

Thank you, Michael, for 42 years of hard work and dedication to the trucking industry.

We had a great day in Langley celebrating National Trucking Week with the people who keep our communities moving.

We brought some food and had some great conversations with members of the trucking community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and took the time to connect with us. We’re proud to celebrate the people behind the industry, not just this week, but all year long.

And thank you to the BC Trucking Association and its members for providing giveaways for everyone who visited.

Happy National Trucking Week!

Don’t ignore the ache.

It can be easy to dismiss symptoms as just part of the job. But recurring pain and discomfort can be early warning signs of a musculoskeletal injury (MSI).

Our latest article looks at the early signs of MSIs, common risks in trucking and moving, and why reporting discomfort early can help prevent a bigger problem.
