We’re excited to welcome Kim Reeves to ATVBC! Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in motorized recreation, land-use advocacy, safety, and outdoor stewardship. We’re thrilled to have him on board!
With over 15 years of experience advancing responsible access to public lands, Kim has built strong relationships with government, First Nations, industry, recreation organizations, conservation groups, and trail users across B.C.
For 16 years, Kim served as President of the Four Wheel Drive Association of British Columbia, growing its membership and budget 180-fold while strengthening education, stewardship, and public-access advocacy. He led the development of the Wheeling Wisely off-road training program and helped expand provincial training capacity through a Train-the-Trainer initiative and led major volunteer-built recreation infrastructure projects, overseeing safety, logistics, materials, and community support.
Kim has also served as Director, Chair, and Past Chair of the Outdoor Recreation Council of British Columbia, contributing to strategic planning, access advocacy, reconciliation-focused relationships, and the Outdoor Recreation Fund Committee. He brings extensive knowledge of B.C. legislation, including the Land Act, Forest and Range Practices Act, ORV Act, and Motor Vehicle Act.
Guided by a “big tent” philosophy, Kim believes motorized and non-motorized recreation communities share common goals in protecting access, promoting stewardship, and ensuring safe enjoyment of public lands.
As Southern B.C. Manager and off-road driving instructor with ARC Off-Road Training, Kim provides professional driving and vehicle-recovery training to commercial, industrial, government, and law-enforcement clients. He is a certified International Four Wheel Drive Trainers Association instructor with expertise in vehicle operation, recovery, risk awareness, and backcountry preparedness.
A thoughtful communicator and collaborative leader, Kim is committed to keeping B.C.’s trails safe, sustainable, and accessible.
