Trinity Refugee Awareness Campaign

Trinity Refugee Awareness Campaign The Trinity Refugee Awareness Campaign (TRAC) is a student-led initiative seeking to respond to the global refugee crisis.

The purpose of Trinity Refugee Awareness Campaign (TRAC) is to provide opportunities for the various demographics of the TWU community to assist refugees in transition and resettlement. TRAC has two main objectives: A) raise awareness and B) provide opportunities for action. Partnering trained volunteers with financially willing members of the TWU community will provide a community-based response

to the refugee crisis. Together, with the various members of the TWU community, we can reflect the core values of Trinity Western University while raising awareness and generating support for refugees during this time of transition and resettlement. Our current focus, in partnership with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), is to sponsor a refugee family here in our community. The goal of this project is to support and assist a family for 12 months as they resettle in Canada. In order to reach this goal, TRAC is responsible for raising approximately $34,000 to cover living costs. More information about TRAC and our initiatives can be found at http://tractwu.com
