River Ridge Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Rental Representative
Job Role Summary:
Working for River Ridge Nordic Ski club is more than a job; it’s all about sharing a passion for the Nordic outdoor lifestyle! The Ski Representative, will be the face of River Ridge Nordic Ski Club and organize and maintain the ski and snow shoe rental system on weekends from December to March. Generally, the day will be structured around customer rentals and visits, organization, and trail grooming/maintenance.
The ideal candidate will always be happy to help, be organized and friendly. All customer issues should always be resolved & handled promptly and effectively.
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and approachable individual.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Acquire and continuously improve your knowledge of the trails
Meet and greet customers and provide useful assistance and advice
You will correctly report, record and account for all monies
You will identify any issues with equipment to the RRNSC board
You will provide ongoing waxing to skis
You will provide exceptional customer service
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Educated to at least Grade 10
Previous ski and snowshoe experience an asset
Prior customer service, problem-solving essential
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Leadership qualities
Self-motivated and flexible
Ready to use your initiative and follow written and verbal instructions
Language skills preferred but not essential
Personal Qualities:
Ski or snowshoeing experience
Attentive, outgoing, friendly and assertive in verbal communication
Approachable, welcoming, professional and enthusiastic
Professional attitude and highly motivated
Organized and punctual
