ICYMI! The RCMP Musical Ride has added a third show, to Sunday evening! This is your chance to get tickets if you missed out initially

🎉 WE HEARD YOU... AND THEY DID TOO! 🎉

Due to the overwhelming response from our community, the RCMP Musical Ride has very generously offered to present a THIRD performance at the Saanich Fairgrounds!

If you missed out on getting tickets for the first two shows, here's your chance to experience one of Canada's most iconic equestrian performances.

🐎 Sunday, August 9
🚪 Gates Open: 4:45 PM
🐴 Pre-Show 5:45 PM – Systematic Warmup of the RCMP Horses
🎠 RCMP Musical Ride Performance: 6:30 PM

Adults: $20
Youth (13 & under): $10

Food trucks will be on-site so come hungry!

The precision, pageantry, and incredible partnership between horse and rider make this a truly unforgettable experience for all ages.

Hey sooke2for1pizza, can we chat about a pizza fundraiser for Cops for Cancer - Tour de Rock ?!?!? I'm thinking a day in person, I can help make and sell pizza and maybe we can have a golden ticket baked into one random pizza order that day and whoever gets the golden ticket pizza wins a prize!! Like how about another prize of pizza for a year!?!

Tonight the South riders took on the Interurban/VITP loop x 4 on a zippy zippy speed ride! Covering 34 kms with an average pace of 22kph in 1.5 hours or so. But the real star of the show was that the Southies have perfected nuclear fusion!!! In a frenzy of energy, the 9 riders that departed SPD with 4 trainers were fused with a tenth rider who flew up Interurban to find the team. It was a powerful connection that resulted in a huge burst of energy for all involved when shouts and whoops of delight were exuberantly directed from the group towards the tenth rider. It's me, I'm the tenth rider. And we became one unit, one element in its element: a classic singles peloton in the bike lane. And life was good. Bonus points because on the way home I ran into an old friend/colleague, Lilly!

Today I helped serve hotdogs and good times at the Royal Canadian Legion Br 134 's swap n shop and vendor market in support of Cops for Cancer - Tour de Rock ! Over $1000 was raised for this wonderful cause. Thank you to the Mill Bay, Shawnigan Lake, and Cobble Hill communities and visitors from beyond for your support!
