Saturday (Nov. 15) we’ll be watching a video from Mennonite Church Canada’s Gathering 2025.

Ethiopian pastor Kelbessa Muleta Demena will give his own testimony, and talk about how: “All through biblical history we see the theme of the ‘unlikely choice’. God’s ways are not our ways. Through testimony, Kelbessa shares how God continues to use ‘unlikely’ people for kingdom work.”

SNC begins a new season on Saturday, September 13, at 6:30, in the foyer of Heartland Church. We'll be celebrating 20 years of non-Sunday morning church, and beginning a series about Jesus' treatment of people he came into contact with, entitled "What DID Jesus Do?"

For most of June, your donations here will be tripled.

The Government of Canada and the Government of Manitoba will match donations to the 2025 Manitoba Wildfires Appeal from May 28 to June 27, 2025. Every $1 donated will become $3 to support the families and individuals most affected by the wildfires.

This Saturday Cyndy will speak to us about heaven. What are your thoughts about it?

As a child, I couldn’t imagine what souls were like so I had a weird vision of white bowling pins bouncing around in the clouds😊 As I got older, I began to think about what it would be like to live forever. I imagined that boredom would set in.

I rest on the knowledge that for now we see things darkly and God is infinitely wise and loving. I can’t imagine heaven, but I trust in the Creator.

Saturday, We'll be discussing Daniel and his friends and rulers. If you can read Daniel 1-6 in advance, see if you see new ideas for us as followers of Christ in these well-known stories.

Cameron Mckenzie, from Fort Garry EMC, will be speaking with us tonight on the Old Testament character Melchizedek.

He suggested reading Hebrews 7. I'll be reading the Genesis story about Melchizedek, and Cameron will be ranging from Genesis 14, through Psalm 110, and Hebrews 10.

It would be a great night to have your Bible along!

Surprise! We will NOT be making sandwiches this Saturday. Instead, we will kick off the Tache food hamper drive (our giving project for December), by making meals for them to distribute this holiday season. We will duplicate what we made last month for Steinbach Outreach (Rice Crisp casseroles).

Come at our regular meeting time (6:30), and bring your favourite cooking tools.

Saturday, for Thanksgiving, we'll come together to give thanks and share a meal at SNC, in the foyer of Heartland Church In Acts 2:42 it says, “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.”

We will start at 5:30 and the evening will include communion, a bit of responsive reading and giving thanks.

Please bring food to share. You could bring a main dish and either a salad or dessert, or something else that strikes your fancy.
