Inhabiting the Scriptures: Homecoming in Dangerous Times
October 16–18, 2026
A Retreat led by Dr. Brian J. Walsh with musical reflections by Deb Whalen-Blaize

Join Brian J. Walsh for a weekend retreat exploring one of the deepest themes running through the Bible: home, homelessness, and homecoming.

In a time marked by geopolitical conflict, climate crisis, threats to human rights, and the quiet anxieties that trouble our souls, the question of home feels more urgent than ever. What happens if we read the whole biblical witness as a story of displacement and return? Could “home” be an integrating thread that speaks to the deepest longings of life in a troubled world?

Together with musical reflections from Deb Whalen-Blaize, this weekend will include teaching, music, conversation, and time to simply be—walking in the woods, paddling on the lake, sitting by the fire with a book, or making music together.

📍 Location: Kingfisher Bay Retreat
🗓 Dates: October 16–18, 2026
🍽 Includes lodging, sessions, and five meals

Early bird pricing (before June 30):
• $565 single / $425 shared
• Commuter rate: $290 (includes meals and sessions)

All are welcome—no prior biblical knowledge required.

If you’re longing for deeper reflection on faith, place, and what it means to make a home in dangerous times, this weekend may be for you.

Feel free to message for more information.

🎤 Public Concert Announcement: Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
An Evening with Jacob Moon at Kingfisher Bay

Jacob Moon is known for a rare kind of musical honesty—the kind that doesn’t perform at you but draws you in. His looping guitar work, soaring vocals and intimate storytelling have carried him from small rooms to stages across Canada and beyond.

Moon’s much-loved cover of Rush’s Subdivisions gained international attention and led to an invitation to perform the song at Rush’s Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2010. That blend of craft and sincerity has become Moon’s hallmark.

His songs trace the contours of real life—fracture and repair, hope and endurance—and his performances feel less like entertainment than a gathering. Whether he is interpreting classics or offering his own deeply felt originals, he brings presence, clarity and a voice that seems to steady the room.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of song and story as winter holds the bay in its deep stillness.

🎟️ Tickets: $35
📞 Contact Terry at (705) 313-5112 or

Note: Jacob will also be leading a songwriting retreat over the Feb. 20–22 weekend—please contact us for more information.

Come and be part of a night where music becomes meaning.
