TEAM WORK TO PREPARE FOR FOOD DISTRIBUTION!

On Mondays volunteers are involved doing various jobs to get ready for our food distribution on Tuesdays.

MANY THANKS!

On Tuesday we were pleased to receive our first delivery of the season from Northcote Farms. Emma dropped off a donation of bok choy, asparagus, and garlic chives. We look forward this summer to receiving their weekly delivery of fresh produce.

Also, Jan brought us 4 boxes of various Avon products.

So, our recipients had lots of choice at our extras table.

We live in an awesome community.

IT TAKES A TEAM!
Our food bank has approximately 40 volunteers. They work hard to get things ready for food distribution on Tuesdays.

THANK YOU LAKEFIELD COLLEGE SCHOOL
The Grade 10 Students organized a Food Drive for our Food Bank in some of the village neighbourhoods. They distributed posters in neighbourhoods advertising the Food Drive, then went and collected the food. They collected a very large quantity of food and delivered it to us.
Thank you for your help. It is wonderful to see youth taking an active interest in helping others.

Thank you Lakefield Pantry for holding a Yard Sale yesterday with all proceeds going to our Food Bank. It was a HUGE success.

The pantry parking lot was filled with a large assortment of Pantry basement treasures. Shoppers were encouraged to make a donation - nothing was priced -and take home treasures.

Everyone had fabulous fun!

It’s happening tomorrow, Saturday, May 16th!
The Pantry is celebrating their 1-year anniversary with an epic rummage sale in the back and cool treats in the front.
So come check out the rummage sale and enjoy a cool treat.
100% of the proceeds from the rummage sale will go to support the Food Bank!

Join us on Saturday, May 16th for Fro-yo Fest! We will be doing B1G1 free deals on frozen yogurt all day, offering samples of our yummy treats, and the best part? We are co-hosting an epic rummage sale in the back parking lot with the Lakefield Food Bank! This is a true treasure hunt of old decor, kitchen utensils, and more from the Pantry basement! With 3 owners, you can imagine the eclectic mix! 100% of the proceeds from the yard sale will go to support the Food Bank! Come on out!
