The 11th gardening season at Lakefield Community Garden is about to begin. The garden features several plots for the local Food Bank. A group of dedicated volunteers (called Food Bank Stewards) assist with planting, tending and harvesting the fresh produce. We are always looking for more volunteers. If you are able to spare 30 to 45 minutes/week, enjoy working in a garden and wishing to help the Food Bank please send me an email to Don Smith. [email protected].

Although it was a bit cool no one seemed to mind. A brief meeting was held at the end to go over plans for getting the garden ready for next year.
