🧡 June is National Indigenous History Month 🧡

This month is an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, while also reflecting on the importance of truth, understanding, and reconciliation.

At Community Circles Restorative Justice, we believe that healing begins with listening, learning, and coming together in community. We are grateful for the teachings, strength, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and the ways they continue to guide us toward deeper understanding and connection.

We invite our community to join us in learning, reflecting, and honouring Indigenous voices throughout the month and beyond.

🧡 Together, we can build stronger, more respectful communities for everyone.

🟥 Honouring Red Dress Day 🟥

Today, we recognize and honour the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

Across Canada, Indigenous families and communities continue to experience profound loss, injustice, and grief. This day is a time to remember those who are missing, those who were taken too soon, and the loved ones who continue to seek truth, accountability, and healing.

At Community Circles Restorative Justice Society, we acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism and systemic injustice that contribute to this crisis. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities and recognize the importance of listening, learning, and taking meaningful action.

Restorative justice is rooted in accountability, healing, and community care. Today, we reflect on how we can continue to support safer, more just communities for everyone.

We encourage our community to take time today to learn, reflect, and honour the lives and voices of Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people.
