The proceeds from the Rotary Beverage Container Recycling program for the month of May were presented to the Ladysmith Community Garden Society.

The Rotary Club is very happy to be working with various organizations in the community and contributing to their success. We acknowledge and thank the community for donating their recyclable, refundable containers in support of this initiative. Rotary is proud to partner with like-minded organizations that help make our community stronger.

For the month of June, the recipient organization is the Ladysmith Historical Society.

If you are interested in helping Rotary provide these services, please join us at one of our meetings, held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Heart on the Hill. Doors to the meeting room open at 6:30 PM, with the meeting commencing at 7:00 PM.

Forecast for Sunday is sunny — a great day to participate in the Rotary Garden Tour! It’s the perfect opportunity to explore beautiful local gardens while supporting the Rotary Club of Ladysmith and its community projects.

This past month, donations to the Rotary Bottle Container Program were collected in support of the Ladysmith Marine Search and Rescue. Tonight, we were pleased to present them with the proceeds from the project.

The LDMRS is the non-profit society operating the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 29, responding to calls off the shores of Ladysmith and the surrounding area.

LDMRS (RCM-SAR 29) is a busy station serving an active boating community.

We thank the volunteers of LDMRS for the important service they provide in our neighbourhood, and we thank the community for continuing to support the Rotary Container Drop Off through their generous donations.

Proceeds collected during May will go to support the Ladysmith Community Garden Society.
