The BC Lions square off with the Calgary Stampeders this afternoon and we are once again encouraging BC fans to donate to KidSport in support of your Lions QB, Nathan Rourke in our QB Showdown for Kids 🏈.

The quarterbacks are giving it their all—now it's your turn to make an impact.

A donation of any size helps remove financial barriers and gives local kids the chance to play.

Sport has the power to build confidence, friendships, resilience, and a sense of belonging. But for many families, the cost of participation has become one of the biggest barriers to getting kids involved.

The cost of leaving kids on the sidelines is far greater than the game itself, and every child deserves the chance to play, regardless of their family's financial situation.

Next week, October 4 to 10, 2026 is in British Columbia, and if you don’t have one, it might be time to start thinking about writing a will.

Wills are not just for when you’re old. Having a will ensures your wishes are respected if the unexpected happens.

And, leaving a gift in your will to a charity, like KidSport, can have a lasting impact for years to come.

Every child deserves the chance to play. But as the need for support continues to grow, getting kids in the game takes all of us. This KidSport BC Week, we're celebrating the power of community and the incredible impact that's possible when people come together. Every donation, partner, volunteer, and supporter helps remove barriers and creates opportunities to get kids in the game.

A single donation can help open the door to a season of sport.

When you support KidSport, you're helping children in your own community access organized sport—building confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories along the way.

Your generosity stays local and changes lives.

One in two kids in Canada cannot access sport because of cost. That is not a kid problem. It is something we can help change. Donate today at donatetokidsport.ca
